Next week we can finally get back together at MWC21 in Barcelona. MWC is the biggest connectivity event in the world and it goes fully hybrid, so you can fly in or attend virtually. Inmanta is present at the Belgian Pavilion and will showcase its vision on 5G orchestration.
End-to-end 5G orchestration
5G is one of the big topics in the industry, and lately a lot of attention goes to Open RAN. However, it involves much more than the RAN to achieve the real opportunities in 5G that generate value. For example, network slices cross multiple domains: edge, RAN, core, transport and more and more also (public) cloud. All these domains have to be glued together in order to deliver end-to-end connectivity in a reliable and qualitative way. Orchestration is key to automate this process and to keep the complexity manageable.
Inmanta will demonstrate end-to-end service management and orchestration of 5G core and connecitivity services at MWC. Inmanta’s orchestrator deploys the control plane network, the 5G mobile core across multiple Kubernetes clusters (in the core datacenter and at the edge), the gNodeBs as well as the network slice (data network) and edge applications. In addition, we show the flexibility to dynamically adapt to different and changing requirements. For example, to deploy applications at the edge to reduce latency.
