Ekinops, Inmanta and TELUS PoC Showcase

Inmanta participates as a sponsor with a booth and with a multi-domain orchestration POC Showcase together with Ekinops and TELUS at MEF19

The PoC demonstrates closed-loop automation across multiple domains, including physical and virtual network functions (Ekinops uCPE and vRouter for the MPLS infrastructure, VyOS virtual router), SD-WAN domain (through TELUS Controller), and cloud (AWS Virtual Private Cloud). Inmanta provides the multi-domain service orchestrator.

The goal is to guarantee end-to-end SLA across multiple domains, more specifically the end-to-end delay between a video server located in AWS VPC and a video client remotely connected to the server via the MPLS and SD-WAN infrastructure.

In case of a SLA violation, the Inmanta Service Orchestrator is triggered by the monitoring infrastructure. It will adapt the network configuration and provision priority queuing mechanisms on the Ekinops uCPE and similarly on the TELUS Controller. This way, Inmanta can enforce that the end-to-end delay is within the user-defined boundaries (i.e. the intent). This network configuration will be rolled back by Inmanta Service Orchestrator once the end-to-end delay meets again the SLA while avoiding hysteresis loss.

In addition, Inmanta Service Orchestrator is able to enforce the original intent by automatically triggering self-healing on the orchestrated resources. For instance, in case of manual configuration changes induced by some temporary network outages or incidents.

Inmanta End-to-end Service Orchestration Demo

Inmanta will show its new demo on end-to-end service orchestration: automation from a self-service portal up to the network ports, across multiple domains (network, NFV, security/firewall, inventory). A declarative, business-level intent triggers the orchestrator to ensure the desired outcome is provisioned and maintained. The orchestrator will take care of the lifecycle management and self-healing.

Discover Inmanta and learn more about:

  • Inmanta’s vision on orchestration and how it brings value to service providers and their customers,
  • what intent-based orchestration really means and how it increases efficiency and reliability,
  • how Inmanta differs from other orchestrators and why this is relevant for you.
