Start it @KBC organised the third edition of its Demo Day on 30 November 2017. This event provides promising startups an opportunity to pitch in front of an audience of hundreds of investors, CEOs and entrepreneurs. Sixteen entrepreneurs received intensive support by a team of experienced public speaking coaches and delivered a top-class stage performance.

Stefan Walraven voted best pitch & greatest progress

The audience voted Stefan Walraven of Inmanta as having the best pitch. Inmanta, a spin-off of the University of Leuven, enables telecom operators to deliver their services much faster and with more flexibility. Its award-winning service orchestrator automates and streamlines the entire operational process. Instead of months and years to deliver new services and features, Inmanta reduces the process to a matter of weeks and minutes. After several successes in the Benelux region, the company is ready to expand internationally.

Before Stefan’s pitch, Jeroen van der Laan of Eurofiber gave a brief introduction to the current challenges in the telecom industry. Eurofiber is a leading provider of digital infrastructure in the Benelux. It has a fiber optic network with over 26,000 kilometers of cable and high-quality datacenters.

Daisy Bohyn of Staenis won the Start it @KBC award for the remarkable progress she made with her pitch. Staenis developed an innovative construction product to install high-quality, perfectly flat and damage-free screeds for flooring. The Staenis grid makes screeding very accessible for both professionals and home handymen and women.

Start it @KBC is an accelerator program that supports and promotes innovative and scalable entrepreneurship. Representing around 550 startups, it is the largest startup community in Belgium. Start it @KBC is a proud member of the GAN network.
